Nelson Announces Two Community Events

HARRISBURG – Rep. Eric Nelson (R-Hempfield) invites residents of the 57th Legislative District to his free paper shredding and Older and Wiser events in the coming weeks.
The Older and Wiser seminar is set for Wednesday, April 30, from 1-2:30 p.m., at the McKenna Center for Active Adults, 971 Old Salem Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.
Attendees will learn about estate planning, power of attorney, wills, trusts, banking and finances. Guest speakers include representatives from the Westmoreland Bar Association, Area Agency on Aging and Somerset Trust. Reservations for this event are required. Please RSVP by calling Nelson’s Greensburg district office at 724-834-6400.
The shredding event will be held Thursday, May 15, from 4-6 p.m., at the Hempfield Township Park and Athletic Complex, 220 Forbes Trail Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.
Bring personal documents containing sensitive information to be shredded for free. There is a limit of four bags or boxes per household. The documents received are shredded in a truck on-site and then taken to a local paper recycling plant to be treated and reused.
Please note this event may be canceled by the shredding company should inclement weather occur during the scheduled event time. Feel free to call Nelson’s office on the day of the event should you have any questions.
